Ellington Lodge at The Concorde

I would like to extend my gratitude to yourself and staff for the impressive service levels I have witnessed over the last few days. Ellington Lodge at The Concorde is situated in an excellent location ideally suited for my needs. I have observed the Staff to display high-quality service levels on all occasions. The staff at reception are most welcoming and helpful. I received a warm and friendly welcome by helpful and informative staff even day. The restaurant staff are friendly, engaging and attentive The Cleaning staff are efficient and courteous. The rooms were warm and clean with everything I required for my stay.   Overall I found my stay an excellent experience and great value for money  Special thank you to Sue Hotel Manger and Emma at Reception.

We were allocated a room on ground floor with a walk in shower as requested, which was perfect for us. Able to park car on disabled bay so not too far to walk. Breakfast was very good.

Set in peaceful surroundings, very welcoming. Rooms all named after jazz musicians. Very comfortable. Lots of drawers and hanging space. Breakfast and dinner were in the Moldy Fig next door. Amazing food, staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Lovely quirky place dedicated to jazz. At dinner we had a French singer, a lovely lady with a beautiful voice, who enhanced our dining experience, making it feel like a special occasion. Breakfast was served until 11 am so we were able to go to parkrun then back in time for a delicious cooked breakfast and a continental buffet. A short walk from the hotel took us to a lake with geese and goslings.

Our flight home was cancelled so we booked last minute and arrived around 10pm. The lady at the counter was extremely helpful and booked my taxi back to the airport for me for around 6.50am the following day. We were only there a few hours, but the bed was lovely, room nice and clean, good-sized, clean bathroom, wifi with no issues and no captive portal, and coffee facilities that were much needed for the AM start we had. Would definitely stay again.

It’s always a pleasure staying at Ellington Lodge. Always helpful, welcoming staff. It’s always a nice experience staying there when you are attending a gig at the Concorde Club. Always great food next door at The Fig. You feel like you’re on a little holiday where everything is on site! We got food delivered late in the evening to the hotel and the gentleman on reception noticed this and offered us plates. Nice little touch I thought.
